We didn't just build a fundraising microsite. We made inclusion part of the experience.

Scope is the disability equality charity working to create a society where disabled people have the same opportunities as everyone else. To launch Power Up and Play, a new fundraising campaign designed for gamers and streamers, Scope needed a digital experience that reflected the campaign's inclusive ethos while encouraging participation from a growing online community.

Working alongside the team, we designed and developed a fully accessible fundraising microsite that combined engaging campaign design with a seamless user experience, ensuring accessibility was embedded into every interaction rather than treated as an afterthought.

Challenge

Gaming has the power to bring people together, but not every digital experience is designed with accessibility in mind. For Power Up and Play, the campaign itself championed inclusion, meaning the website needed to demonstrate those same principles in practice.

The challenge wasn't simply to launch another fundraising microsite. It was to create an engaging digital experience that met rigorous accessibility standards while making it easy for supporters to sign up, take part and understand the impact of their fundraising.

Approach

Working within Scope's campaign identity, we designed and developed a bespoke microsite that balanced vibrant campaign visuals with clear navigation, intuitive user journeys and accessibility-first thinking throughout.

Every aspect of the experience was carefully considered, from colour contrast and keyboard navigation through to screen reader compatibility and content hierarchy. Built on the GivePenny fundraising platform, the microsite achieved a comprehensive accessibility checklist while maintaining a fun, energetic experience inspired by gaming culture.

Alongside the website, we also developed the supporting email journey, ensuring participants enjoyed a consistent experience from registration through to fundraising.

Outcome

Power Up and Play launched with a digital experience that reflects the values at the heart of the campaign. Supporters can register quickly, navigate confidently and focus on raising money rather than overcoming barriers created by technology.

More importantly, the project demonstrates that accessibility doesn't have to come at the expense of creativity. Inclusive design can create better digital experiences for everyone while helping organisations reach wider audiences and strengthen engagement.

Capabilities

This project combined campaign design, accessible website development, user experience and digital fundraising to create an inclusive online experience that encourages participation, removes barriers and helps more people engage with an important cause.

The bigger picture.

Accessibility isn't a feature that gets added at the end of a project—it's a way of thinking from the very beginning. When inclusive design becomes part of the creative process, everyone benefits from a better digital experience.
